I have a ASUS computer and trying to upgrade the graphics card to a GTX 1080, i got a brand new CX750 psu, hooked it all up, the mother board fan would power for few seconds then turn off and no signal to monitor, tried MB VGA and GPU DVI neither give signal not sure whats wrong, i disabled integrated graphic before installing new step up, please help

Solution

Hold on the CX750 come with a 4+4 Pin EPS12v cable...you must use this one and just use the 4 pins leaving the other 4 pin hanging.

The PUS cables are all very specific to each power supply, especially Corsair, so using there cables is very important.

CPU fans didn’t turn on at all just motherboard fans for sec then turning off, not sure what was the rating of old psu it was the default psu that came with computer
