No signal to monitor when using discrete GPU

Hello everyone,

I just finished my first build and i am having some problem with my gpu. When i plug the cable into the gpu it says no signal on my monitor. I plug it back into the mobo and it works normally.

All the lights and fans on the gpu are up and running so i don't know what's wrong.

Here are my specs:
i7 3770k 4.4ghz
8GB corsair dominator platinum
ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M
CoolerMaster Silent Pro M2 1000W
MSI GTX 680 Lightning

And PLEASE don't tell me i have a damaged card because i live in australia and i bought this card from the usa so returning it would be VERY painful.

Is there a setting in your BIOS to switch from the built in to dicreet? Check that out maybe. Anybody else heard of this?

First check you bios to make sure it is seeing the new gpu. If it is detected by bios as mojin said check for the switch from built in to discreet.
