So I was previously having problems with no signal to monitor when gpu is connected (see my thread in history). I decided to do a complete reinstallation of windows. As soon as the set up list (i.e. Installing features, installing updates, etc) was done and windows began loading to the next screen, I lost signal to monitor. Now this was on my onboard graphics, so I shouldn't have had any problems. I have rebooted my pc numerous times now trying with both gpu and onboard graphics again, but both showing no signal to monitor. I had just done hard drive and RAM checks/scans prior to reinstalling windows, without detected issues. Is my motherboard fried? I have already reset the mobo battery. All of my fans are spinning and the system overall seems to be running.

Solution
let's see

1) PC power off, get free of static (e.g. touch the PSU enclosure)
2) hold power button for 1 minute
3) plug power cable back & PC power on

if this does not work, try also the above steps, with extra step "1.5) remove cmos battery" so after first step above.

try these with your discreet and if not working, also with only the onboard gpu.

PS: sometimes this hard reset magically solves similar issues.
Yes. All the lights are running. The HDD is running as well. No problems with the monitor. With the prior issue, I would only get black screen when booting up or waking the computer. This time it happened as soon as the windows 10 was loading to the main screen after setup.

Okay I am now able to have signal using onboard graphics after removing the USB that I'm using for the install. I'm very confused now. I have to redo my installation, but it turns to black screen when USB is plugged in to setup windows. This makes no sense. Any ideas?

So you tried with both discrete GPU and onboard - no signal to monitor.

But the pc seems to be loading, although you don;t see any signal pre windows loading or after loading?
You are also saying that monitor is ok - so it means that you verified with another pc?

Maybe the cable or connector is bad - like it's bending/moving too much when connected to your gpu/onboard graphics? (e.g. due to position, narrow space behind your pc, etc)?

As in my monitor will show a no signal to monitor message upon startup using either onboard or GPU. No logos or anything else. I just managed to get a signal when removing the USB. But now I have to reinstall windows. I can't do so without my USB. Just now again I just lost signal as Windows was finishing up setup.

I've used backup cable already. No changes even when moving around the cable.
