No signal to monitor

Hi, I'm building my first computer and I have all of the components installed, but I am getting no signal to my monitor. We have tried changing the power supplies, gpus, we've tested the gpu on another computer and it works from there. We have tried switching the RAM sticks, and a myriad of other things.

The components are as follows:
msi 970 gaming motherboard
psy 960 graphics card
AMD 6300 cpu processor
MX 600W power supply
1tb clean harddrive.
DDR3 8gb 1333 MHz ram stick

The motherboard itself does not have integrated graphics, so I can't just plug straight into there. Also, the entire computer turns on and operates other than the signal to the monitor.

This may sound stupid but check if your monitor uses the correct input mode (for example hdmi mode if you're using hdmi)

I did check that, and it wasn't the issue.
