No Signal to Monitor

I have a custom built computer consisting of mostly used parts. My brother made a new computer and gave me his old part. All I had to buy was a power supply and SSD card (I bought the same ones he had). Everything else he gave me was already installed in a case and he installed all of the new parts for me. He never had a single problem with the computer. Most parts are less than 2 years old.

Now to get to my problem. When I boot up my computer I have no signal to my monitor from my video card using a DVI cable. Everything boots up okay and I can hear the windows sound through my speakers, I just don't have an image on my monitor. If I take out the video card and use the iGPU everything works fine. The video card fans run when i boot up and the motherboard detects that it is there.

The thing is when I booted for the first time (with the video card) everything ran fine, other than the fact I had to download a couple drivers and antivirus. The problem started when I shut down windows and it automatically installed one (1) update and the next time I booted up I had no signal to my monitor. I've been dealing with this for over a week now and would just like to get everything running to I can start gaming. I will go through everything from start to finish that I've done since I first got the computer a week and a half ago.

Motherboard: Asus maximus v gene ROG
GPU: Geforce gtx 750ti
No error codes when I boot up

< all part were installed by someone who knows what they're doing
< Installed windows 7 OS
< Installed LAN drivers from usb for internet acces
< Installed GPU drivers from Nvidia website
< Installed geforce experience
< installed battle.net from blizzard
< computer no longer had signal after windows update
< uninstalled and reinstalled windows
< regained signal through GPU
< redid the above steps and same problem happened again
< reinstalled windows a 2nd time, but this time I can't get a signal at all
< booted up in safe made and installed all most up to date drivers for GPU and still have no signal

I've looked through most articles on here and have done most of the suggestion and still no luck. I'm beginning to think it may just be the video card kicked the bucket and I need a new one?
Sorry for the lengthy post, but I'm trying to be as specific as possible

It looks like a card issue, indeed. Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute). Try also different PCIe slot. If still no go,
try RMA-ing the card, if under warranty, or testing different one (borrowed from a friend, if possible).

I've tried clearing the CMOS a couple times with no luck and the other PCIe did not work. I also noticed I needed to install a "PCI communications controller" driver, which I did, but that didn't seem to do anything. Not really sure if that could affect the GPU at all. At this point I might just need to test my video card on a friend's build to see if it's just that the card has gone bad.
