Hi all,

So im here because im having an issue getting my pc to [strike]post[/strike] POST. This actually started awhile ago, but has now seemed to have gotten worse the last couple of days. What is been happening is on a cold boot i can't get the pc to POST at all, so i started by resetting the CMOS and generally after a reset the pc would POST. However, that no longer seems to be working, and i have spent numerous hours surfing these forums and others to try and get some advice on getting a signal back to my monitor. With no luck. Hence my post. Hoping someone here can help me..

What iv'e tried-

*Booting up pc with only CPU , PSU , RAM, GPU - no boot & no beeps
*Booting up pc with CPU, PSU, NO RAM, GPU - no boot & 3 beeps
*Booting up pc with CPU , PSU, RAM , ONBOARD GPU - no boot & no beeps
*Booting up pc with CPU, PSU , RAM , ONBOARD GPU , NO HDD - no boot & no beeps

*I have also tried one stick of ram in various slots..
*I have also tried a Different stick of ddr3 ram from another working PC
*I have also tried a Different PSU that ive had laying around (thermaltake toughpower 750w)
*I have also tried resetting the CMOS numerous times with no luck.
* I have also tried New Battery for motherboard
* I have also tried reseating the RAM and checked all connections everything seems fine
*I have also check CPU for bent pins and cant seem to see anything out of the ordinary

Just editing to make a note - that the motherboard powers up all fans are spinning etc. LED lights are all lit up Blue etc.
when i use to be able to get this rig to boot after clearing the CMOS it would run flawlessly until it was shutdown. And then i would have to go through the clearing CMOS process again on a cold boot.

I hope this is some help in helping me fix the issue, ill be sure to leave my PC specs below. Looking forward to any help i can get.

Thanks in advance :bonk:

Hi rocktalkrock,

thanks for your reply. I have tried breadboarding this again this afternoon, without HDD installed at all just to try and atleast get to the bios screen and then hope for an error saying something like 'can not find a bootable device' or something along those lines. Just to see some text on the screen so to speak.

I also tried 4 different sticks of ram in different slots, aswell as trying to boot with onboard graphics and also with gpu installed, with no luck. I reseated and check heat sink and fan and cpu also just incase i over looked something, i also retried booting up with 2 different PSU.

its got me baffled..:??:

Thanks in advance

Hi Guys just an update,

can this please be marked as solved

I pretty much tried everything i could think of to test it. However, i come to a conclusion that the motherboard itself had failed. And have now done a complete upgrade.

Thanks again for the reply's
