Hi, yesterday I built my first pc but it would'nt give a signal to my monitor
So I used the troubleshooting guide but no result.
If I unplugg the gpu the monitor receives signal and gives me this message,
reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
I don't know if it matters but I use a vga cable and connect it to my mohterboard because my gpu doesn't have a vga opening.

These are my pc parts,
Intel Core i5-4690K Boxed
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI
Asus R9290-DC2OC-4GD5
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Silverstone Strider Essential 700W Bronze
Crucial MX100 256GB

Thank you for the help in advance.

Solution
Hi, It's normal to not get signal when the graphics card is connected, as the BIOS automatically uses it instead of the integrated one.
As for the message, try connecting a bootable device (Windows USB/DVD) and boot from it.
