no signal to new gaming computer

I just built a new gaming computer, but i don't get any signal to monitor. I know everything powers on. The monitor says no signal from computer. Then goes into sleep mode. I have a amd 860k cpu. My motherboard is a asrock a88x fm2+ pro3+. The gpu is a asus gtx 760 direct cu ll. The power supply is a thermaltake tr2 600w 80+ bronze.

How do you have your monitor connected? DVI/HDMI/etc... ? Could be a bad port.

I am using dvi single link but tried hdmi too.
