"No Signal" using mini-DisplayPort Asus MG279q

Hello, i have big problem !(( i purchase monitor Asus MG 279q 144hz for my sun but its not work with Display Port only hdmi i need Display port for 144hz and resolution 2560x1440 when i try plugin Display port cable and switch on write Display Port NO SIGNAL and automatically switch for HDMI
Motherboard :Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H v2
Graphic card: ATI Radeon 5770 HD
Monitor: Asus MG279q
cable HDMI to HDMI , DP to mini-DP
can some body help please !1

I have the same problem. When I plug my display port cable & switch to display port in my monitor menu, it says no signal, however HDMI cable works fine. Help us anyone.
