right my TV was working perfectly fine while connected to the computer at first but then it went pop and i had to have it repaired and since then everything else works fine on it (HDMI,Scart and Freeview ariel port) but my TV wont seem to pick up the signal anymore from my computer using a VGA cable i would use a HDMI but my computer doesn't have the port so i have to result in using a VGA ive also tried my laptop but it just isn't detecting either of them i don't know what else to do has anyone got any suggestions?? my TV is a Technika 32 inch HDTV

While im no TV expert it SOUNDS to me like a repair job with cut corners.

The TV went "POP"(I like to call it "letting the smoke out") and you took it to a repair shop, they thought "eh who uses VGA anymore?" and neglected to replace VGA port/circuitry to save parts/time/money and sent it back.

Seeing as the TVs VGA port doesnt receive signal from the laptop or the desktop, its my educated guess.

yeah the TV just went pop and then there was no power going into the TV at all they said it was the capacitor on the inside of the TV that had burnt out because i use it for gameing alot also but since ive got it back everything else works just not the VGA port its like the TV isn't receiving a signal from the computer at all at the moment i'm using a smaller monitor also using a VGA connection and it works perfectly fine (this is how im using my computer at the moment) but i just dont know what to do with the TV i mean i'd like to be able to use it as a monitor again if i can

Tell them you have evidential proof(Recieving no signal from two seperate machines is no coincidence..usually) that they didnt fully repair your TV.

You didnt pay to get it half-fixed,right?
If you threaten to take it to the managerial level,i bet you'll get your TV fixed for free. (since you already paid for it)
