Question No signal when GPU is connected

When GPU is connected, computer will boot, show the screen for a few seconds, then show no signal.
Tried-
Onboard graphics with gpu connected: same results
Onboard graphics with no gpu connected: boots normally
Disabled onboard graphics with gpu connected: Same results as previously stated.
I couldn't find other forums where the issue persists when the GPU is connected to pc but not monitor and instead the HDMI is connected to the motherboard.

Do you have the latest bios? Is the pc oc'd at all, ayatem specs?

Please list full system specs. Do include make and model of PSU, not just wattage.
