I've been having problems with my XFX 7770 for over the past few months. It started with the card drivers crashing under Windows 7, 90% when I'm playing a game but Windows would recover driver issues automatically after a few seconds. Then 1 month ago, I installed Windows 8.1, the issue got worse. This only happens when I am playing a game, it would randomly go black then give me "NO Signal" on my screen. The system is still running because any background noise/music is still playing. I can not get the screen to come back up without restarting my PC. This ONLY happens when I'm playing a game, never under general use such as web browsing, etc.
Last week, I got a new Motherboard and CPU and hoping to solve this issue. Unfortunatly, I am experiencing same issue but worse. It was working fine for a few days until I got a BSOD on Windows 7. From that point on, whenever I start a game, the screen would black out, "No Signal" within 1-3 minutes of starting. It seems Windows cant auto recover the driver issues like last time so I have to restart PC to get screen back up. If I am using it for general computing, the problem doesn't occur.
Think its time to RMA the card?
