Question No signal while gaming

Jan 12, 2021
Hi everyone!

Yesterday i tried out my new config, i tested GTA V, but after a 30 seconds of gaming, my display showed no signal. I ran a PerformanceTest benchmark tool (the newest), and the CPU part went perfectly, i checked the temp during it, it was around 50-60C, i think it's normal. At the GPU part, it went nice with a 50-65C, until the benchmark tool opened a low-res game, and the signal went off again after a few seconds. I reinstalled the driver 2 times, nothing changed.

My config:

PSU: CoolerMaster MWE 230V 700W 80+
CPU: Intel i7 4790 - 3.6 Ghz
GPU: Asus AMD Radeon R9 290 - DirectCU II
RAM: Apacer DDR3 8GB 1600Mhz

These components are built in a HP Prodesk 400 g1 mt, so the motherboard is HP. I tried different cables, different monitors, same issue. My PSU and RAM are brand new, so i don't think those are the issue. The GPU was used before i bought it.
try the integrated HD graphics without the 290. Eventually the 290 is faulty.

Update the BIOS to the latest version if available

try a different PSU and GPU

to have a look what the problem could be:
run and post the http link of your result, e.g.

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the boot priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

run the RAM @2133MHz to check if it happens then too

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool

use ddu uninstaller and reinstall the latest graphics driver
