Question no signs of life after CPU swap

hello i was trying to upgrade from a ryzen 5 3500 to a ryzen 7 5800x. all i did was take off the cooler to swap out the CPU’s, and after reinstalling i get no signs of life no beeps no lights, nothing. even after putting in the old cpu i get nothing. i did not remove or unplug anything else on my PC and it was working perfectly before i took out the old CPU

make sure all cables are still firmly seated.

it's also possible that the power supply has just malfunctioned.
you don't list it's make & model so no one knows the quality of it's manufacture.
