I will preface this by saying that I am very new to this. Building my previous PC 10 years ago was fun and easy so I thought I would try again with my upgrade. Still, that old build is the only other build I have done.

I have tried:
It seems more likely that it won't turn on due to my incompetence rather than faulty components. Bearing in mind that I have neither a lot of equipment or experience - what would you recommend? Buy a new motherboard or RAM and test them out? Should I swallow my pride and go to a PC repair shop?
Thank you for any help.

I have tried:
- Going through the sticky on this forum for this issue
- Swapping cables and outlets (and making sure PSU is on the "I" position)
- Securing and resecuring power cables for components
- Ensuring CPU fan is plugged in
- Building the PC outside case on a carboard box
- Shorting the power switch pins (and triple checking the front panel connectors)
- Resetting CMOS
- Swapping RAM from A2-B2 to A1-B1 as well as just trying one and zero sticks of RAM (I have only tried the same sticks - I don't other compatible sticks)
- I swapped the power supply with that of my old system - and my old system boots up with new PSU without issue
