After I installed my new 7950, the sleep option doesn't appear anymore, it might be drivers or something else but I can't put my computer to sleep anymore. Anyway to fix that?
It must be drivers... you initial post said the problem started after installing the 7950... So, the driver you installed may be what caused the problem. See if you can find an update for it and to prove my point, remove the 7950 temporarily.
Try the Windows Power Options..... Control Panel \ System and Maintenance \ Power Options \ Change when the computer sleeps \ Change Plan Settings \ Put the computer to Sleep \ it's probably on "Never"... change to the number of minutes or hours it should be idle before going into sleep mode.
Right... when you have a power saving plan with the settings (hard drive, display, hibernate) set on "Never"... they will stay on. You have to balance the settings with the right amount of minutes, and the hibernation has to be set ON for the computer to shutdown... otherwise the sleep mode never goes into hibernation and when you touch or move the keyboard slightly, the computer powers back on.
It's the same thing... The power options settings control what you can see in the Start Menu: Shutdown, restart, sleep, hibernation, etc. but it doesn't always behave as it should.. the causes can be different, malware, gpu drivers, group policy or regisry changes or changed by malware...
Download the "Enable Sleep.reg" regedit, merge it to the registry and see if it works.
Read these posts... the problem may be related to Chipset and/or Display drivers... you may have to update them or Roolback to previous drivers if you updated any recently.

OK, I seem to recall you have sleep mode enabled but it doesn't appear on the Start Menu (only)?... try putting the computer to sleep from the command prompt, or creating a Batch file.... there are many instructions for either.... a Batch file would be quickest and convenient.
