No sleep option?

I recently upgraded my old graphics card with a Radeon R9 280x Toxic, and everything was working smoothly. So, I go to put my computer to sleep, and Windows 8 just simply doesn't give me the option to do so. I read around for a bit, and some people said that updating your drivers was the solution. That being said, I decided to update my drivers, but I wound up with the same issue after having restarted my computer. After looking around some more, I couldn't find any other possible solutions to my predicament. So, I suppose it would be best to ask you loving people of tomshardware.com what I could do to fix this issue. Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance for your time!
