No sound after BIOS update

I just installed a new CPU, and to do that, I needed to update my BIOS. After my CPU was installed, I booted into Windows, but now I have no sound. When I hover over the sound icon, it says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." But I indeed, have my headset plugged in.

Updated the drivers from the motherboard manufacter's website?

I tried to do it, but it just gives me the blue screen with error "BAD_POOL_CALLER"

To fix it (before rolling back the bios, which you should try if this doesnt work), be sure to have the 'Creative Software Autoupdater' installed on your system:
-From control panel>devices scroll down to 'sound, video, game controllers' and select your creative sb sound card, and uninstall it.
-After it's finished uninstalling, go to the top and select Action>Scan for hardware changes and hopefully it will find an unidentified item on your pci bridge
-Give windows a second to try to locate and install drivers for it, and if it doesn't:
-open the 'Creative Software Autoupdater' and let it find your soundcard!

I don't have a soundcard, I just use the OnBoard audio.
