No sound after BSOD

I left my laptop in sleep mode and when I opened it I and logged into windows a BSOD restart happened, after the reboot I have no sound in both windows and Linux not even in the audio jack, windows shows "no audio output device is installed" and Linux shows dummy audio, please help I tried installing drivers, restoring windows, booting ubuntu from an USB, but nothing works

did you try and reinstall the mb chipset for the laptop?? also check in the bios see if the audio chipset is off or on??
