My power blew a few days ago and ever since my PC doesn't have any sound? I was playing a game with chrome and discord running in the background when it happened. A restart has not helped me, I uninstalled and reinstalled audio drivers, I went into services and restarted windows audio and changed permissions around ,I've simply waited and nothing. When the computer came back on I saw that it updated as well, so I tried rolling back to the previous update and its the same issue. What do I do? And now for some odd reason some of my hot keys are acting up, for example I always use [windows key + shift + S] and it'll let me crop a section of my screen and save it like a screenshot, but now when I do it I just get some weird yellow bars on my screen.
No applications are showing up in volume mixer l when I set windows audio services to local system account, and when that wasn't on I got a big X over the speaker icon in the bottom right of my screen.
When I reset my PC it'll say "could not open elgato sound capture driver". Please help I don't know what to do.

Is it a sound card or are you using the audio of your motherboard?

might be a hardware fault, get a new sound card (internal or external)
I am not using a sound card, I am using the audio directly off my motherboard. I don't know why the elgato popup is happening, since I only ever use it for streaming from my switch, and it still works
