Gateway 7200x desktop. 32-bit. No separate sound card. Motherboard = Intel D915GSE AAC778480192. The left, right, and subwoofer speakers all connect to the PC via a single cord at the single small RCA like Green hole at the back of the desktop. After the upgrade to Win7 there's no sound. Device Manager reports no problem with the sound and shows High Definition Audio Device on two lines labeled Location 0 and Location 2, both with drivers from Microsoft 2009 and 2010. Click on "Update Drivers" is no help. Uninstall drivers and reboot only restores the same Microsoft drivers. Gateway provided no backup CD with drivers. The Gateway "Restore" CD has no files that I can identify as being an audio driver, and I suspect if I could find them they wouldn't work with Win 7. Gateway's website now is useless for support of PCs that aren't current. Intel's website shows no Vista or Win 7 drivers for the 915GSE. Msinfo shows PNP device HDAUDIO/FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1002\5&3359D18B&0&0001 and shows Drivers as c:\windows\system32\drivers\hdaudio.sys (6.1.4701.17514) and c:\windows\system32\drivers\hdaudio.sys (6.1.7601.17514).But Device Manager reports one of the drivers as 6.1.7600.16285. The little speakers are turned on and wired to the PC. ANY HELP TO A SOLUTION MUCH APPRECIATED.
