No sound, at all.

My PC recently started producing no sound, whatsoever. This started around the same time my old GPU started to die. I have updated any and all sound drivers on my computer multiple times, tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them, tried every answer I could come across with no success. The only thing I haven't tried is using my monitor's sound by connecting to my new GPU via HDMI, but that won't solve my current issue of being unable to use external speakers. Headphones don't work, other speakers don't work, nothing does. My PC doesn't even recognize when I plug an external sound device into any of the line-out jacks (front or rear). I was previously using the front one (I honestly can't remember I time when I was not), because the back one has been non-functional for quite some time.

If anyone could suggest something else for me to try, that would be lovely.

Assuming you replaced the video card, make sure the default playback device did not change to the digital output of the new gpu. rt click the speaker icon down by the system clock and select Playback Devices to see what the system 'sees'. you probably want the HD audio selection or headphones if those are plugged in.

Thank you for the response!

So I've tried to select different playback devices to see if they produce sound. My problem here is that no matter if I plug speakers/headset into a line-in or not, the same options are present.
