No sound card detected

I am using Win98

Second edition

I purchased a new crystal 4281
sound card

No the sound is noit played.
The device manager shows yellow exclamation sign under Sound Device & Game controller heading


Please tell me from where i can download correct sound drivers

Note that sound was working fine for first 1-2 months

If the card sopped working after you moved the computer, or were doing other things inside the case, try unplugging the soundcard from the motherboard and plugging it back in...

Assuming you tried that already and have the correct drivers installed properly, and if you are replacing an old soundcard with the one mentioned in your post, then you could also try removing ALL sound devices from device manager in Safe Mode:

Press <F5> while starting your computer to get into Safe Mode,
Then right click your My Computer choose Propreties from the menu, and go to the Devices tab.
Right click each entry and choose remove then confirm you want to remove it, and say no to rebooting untill there are no Sound devices left.

Then re-install your drivers when you re-boot.

If that doesn't work, try re-installing Windows over your current version and repeating the above...
