No sound even when the volume is on max

so, ive had my netbook for a few years now and has never experienced any problems with the sound until 2 days ago. is there a setting change i have to make to have my speakers play sound again? nothing is on mute, and everything is on fullblast, it just isnt working

Have you checked device manager for error ?

Have you been to "netbook" site ?

Hello... Most the time after a new software installation other setting, such as audio , can get changed...
1) can you load a restore point and see if your audio starts working agian?
2) Can you go into your CONTROL PANEL and find and open the MFG'r AUDIO program... and re-check your settings... such as mute/volume/device/speakers etc..

Is it just windows sounds or music?... also check, CONTROL PANEL-SOUNDS for your Windows program settings.

Don't forget Media Player has it's own mute button as well as volume control
