No sound for movie files

Hello, my computer isn't playing any audio in movie players.

I've tried GOM player (which has been my default player for a few years), VLN, DivX and another.

The only files that will play are MP4, in iTunes.

I think the problem began when I upgraded GOM player. I don't have the restore point anymore. The sound driver says it is up to date. I have tried a few add-on drivers anyway. Still no luck. Any ideas?

Exactly what files are not working? DVDs work or no? How about online videos? Uninstall that GOM player, look for codec pack setups and uninstall those, re-install VLC and install AC3 filter if you don't have that.
