No sound from speakers

Hi guys. I am new to the forum and don't know if this has been answered. A few days ago I unplugged the cables from my desktop pc so that I could take it to a pc service store for cleaning. Up until then, the sound was working perfectly through my old Logitech 5.1 speakers. When I took the pc back home and replugged the cables (correctly ofc) I noticed that I can get no sound through the speakers but only from the hdmi cable of the monitor. Headphones though worked perfectly through the front input of my pc. I even changed my speakers (planned to change them, not because of the issue), I have enabled and disabled everything, I have downloaded the latest drivers from Creative and all, but still no sound from the speakers, only through the monitor. I have a Gigabyte ga-z97p-d3 motherboard, if that helps.

on the bottom right of the screen, right click the volume icon, click playback devices, Disable HDMI, if you have to DISABLE every playback device EXCEPT for your Logitech.

Or rightclick on your logitech speakers in the playback menu, click set as default communication device, and default audio device.

When unplugging your speakers, your computer reverted to the sound driver for your display through audio, when reconnected its still set as the default you just have to change it.

I have done all these, or at least so I think. In the sound device manager I can see my speakers, the monitor model with Nvidia High Definition Audio below and the Realtek High Definition Audio. Out of these, I only have the speakers as enabled and I still get nothing...
