No sound has integrated sound card

Cannot load or update drivers to sound card. I tried uninstalling drivers and the sound card and then reinstalling. System says it has found correct drivers and then tries to install them but errors out after a few seconds saying sound card has issues. Is my motherboard dead?

For integrated sound, you should ALWAYS use the driver from the Mobo's vendor. Do NOT allow Windows to pick the driver, manually tell it, "the driver I want to use is HERE" and of course you had download it previously and saved.
