No sound in Pharoah

I just installed pharoah on my computer (old game, sequal to caeser3), and it plays fine but there is no sound what so ever. Does anyone know why this is? I have tried on both my computers and still no sound. Is it something to do with it being an old game?

Could be any reason really Ted. Try the old favorites of reinstalling yur soundcard drivers but also run a google search for a Pharoah forum and I could almost guarantee that will have the answer for ya.

I think you are out of alignment with the Gods. Sacrifice something to the Gods! Do you have a dog or cat? That could get that sound card working real fast!

ahem... errrr.... yeah agrees with patrick..... the err... Gods like... it especially if u find the pet of a policeman and erm....... gut it alive and leave it nailed to the owners door with its' bowels stringing out and with yur address stapled to the remains.... yeah..... doing that will get u surround sound..
