My system:
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
32GB DDR5 6000
Motherboard MSI PRO B650M-P (with BIOS update)
RTX 4070

I tried everything, the sound simply doesn't work.
The sound icon has an "X" on it and it says "No audio device connected".
I tried connecting speakers, headphones which work fine on other devices.
When I insert the audio jack into the integrated sound card, nothing happens. It's like being unplugged.
I even installed Windows 10 on my system. The problem persists.
Then I reinstalled Windows 11, same problem.
I installed all drivers from MSI website for my motherboard.
The sound completely stopped working a few days ago. Until then it worked fine but sometimes it didn't. After booting I had same problem but after restarting Windows it worked.
I have another annoying problem since I upgraded my PC. Sometimes Windows get stuck on booting (the rotating wheel stops). I think it finally boots into windows but I don't have display signal. When the sound worked I was able the hear the loading sound into Windows 11. I had the same problem when I tried Windows 10 for a short period of time.

Can the audio port be damaged ?
Is it possible there's something wrong with my CPU ?
It's really annoying using my PC without sound.
I have this printscreen from windows 10 but the problem it's identical in windows 11:

Why do you have AMD High Definition Audio device in Device Manger?
Did you have AMD graphics card before upgrading to RTX 4070?

Use DDU to remove old AMD graphic/audio drivers.

Install chipset drivers for your motherboard,
then install Realtek drivers for your motherboard and also
reinstall Nvidia drivers.

Just tried it. It doesn't work
Fixed it. Still does't work.
Nothing works.
I am afraid it is a hardware problem.

The AMD driver is likely related to the IGP in the CPU which would allow audio output through that. It's not entirely clear what the other driver is linked to but the sound menu it looks like it's just a generic HDMI device driver which might be something Windows put in for your video card.

I'd suggest checking the BIOS and making sure that the audio device is enabled there and also double check the drivers in Windows to see what hardware that's linked to. If the BIOS shows enabled and Windows isn't showing a related driver then your onboard audio isn't working any longer.

In Device Manager it shows only "High definition audio device"
Removed all drivers with DDU in Safe Mode.
Installed Realtek drivers after reboot.
Tried installing Legacy hardware from Device manager and chose Realtek High definition audio and received BSOD : RTKVHD64.sys

Windows Troubleshooter says there's no device connected when I plug the audio jack.

you need to get sound only from the graphics card you have and nowhere else except if you have external speakers, then you need it from the output of the motherboard (which has the msi center that puts what is needed), I wonder why you are confused and can't find a solution.

Even a fresh install of Windows 11 didn't solve the problem. Tried multiple times to install the Realtek drivers. After restart the drivers did not appear to be installed.

Solved the problem by replacing the motherboard.
