No Sound on ASRock 970 Extreme3

New build. At first would not post with another brand of RAM. Got RAM from recommended list and reset CMOS. No problems posting since.

Volume Mixer shows the music is pumping, but nothing comes from speaker or headphones except little pops.

RealTek HD Audio Manager recognizes when speaker/headphones are plugged in.

Device Manager shows 2 items under Sound, video and game controllers: High Definition Audio Device (microsoft) and Realtek High Definition Audio. It says both are working properly. Nvidia audio previously appeared here as well. I uninstalled Realtek and Nvidia and system automatically re-installed Realtek.
