Question No sound on my htpc for no reason

So I was watching a show yesterday on my htpc and everything was fine today I went to use it and I have no sound. I built this pc about 5 years ago it was running Ubuntu and it is really only used for media. So I tried all the obvious stuff and nothing worked so I wiped the hard drive and installed a different OS since there wasn’t anything important on it and I’ve been thinking about installing LibreELEC anyway. That did not work. So I tried removing the the gpu and just using the integrated graphics to see if maybe that was an issue, it wasn’t. I’ve tried different speakers, headphones, using the sound through the hdmi cable, through the headphone jack, and through the line out jack. I have no more ideas. I would guess it’s somehow a hardware issue since I’ve tried two OS’s but I really don’t know what else to try.

What is the PC connected to? Have you done any troubleshooting on that?

It’s currently connected to TV. The tv is working fine. I tried other HDMI slots on the tv and another HDMI cable. I also tried some of the displayport connections on the computer. But I can try a different monitor. I don’t think that would be the issue though it seems to only be sound and I tried different speakers that had nothing to do with the tv and headphones.
