No Sound on speakers, Volume mixer shows like sound should be coming out

Issue: (sound has been working fine until this morning)
No sound coming out on exterior computer speakers
MS volume speaker shows like sound should be coming out.
speakers are working and tested
no sound comes out the speaker jack or headphone jack (rear or front)
