I got an ssd for christmas and i got almost everything i want installed but i have no sound.. what do i need to do?

I went to my mobo website to download a audio driver but it was so confusing and there was no download in the folder.. what do i do?

Solution
1. The old OS still living on the old drive.
Space wasting, and it really serves no purpose. There are much better ways of having a fallback OS.

2. Steam games. Yes, it makes a difference.
If a Steam game, you can (usually) access that from a different drive. Just tell the Steam client where it is.
Other standalone games (and applications) need to be reinstalled. The new OS will not know anything about them.

3. Do NOT delete that System Reserved partition.
It should not have a drive letter, but if you delete it...your system will not boot.
I fixed it. i played around in Sounds, my blue yeti was the default sound lol.

If i download the motherboard sound drivers does it improve the sound quality or no? If not ill just leave it as is.

Thanks all

Since i put this under storage i have another quick question.. if i have a game on my HDD i can't just load it up and play it from my hdd being on my ssd right? I would have to download it on my ssd to actually play it? ( My os is on both drives but my main boot is my ssd.)

1. You do NOT want the OS on both drives. At all.
2. Is this a Steam game or something else?

Why not lol? I feel like it honestly doesn't matter, yeah it takes up space having the OS on it but i like i on there just incase my ssd crashes or something i can boot right onto my hdd. I don't really see a point to delete the os.

Also, why are you asking if it's steam? Does steam games work and others don't, or vice versa? It's a steam game though yes.

Also, can i deleted the system Reserved (E:) drive, or leave it?
it was made when i installed the os on ssd.

So if i want to play a game, i have to install it from my hdd to ssd to play it on ssd right? Or can i load it up from hdd and play it from there?

Ok man thanks, so let me clarify.

If i have steam downloaded on my SSD and have games installed on my HDD, i can use steam on my SSD to locate the game on my HDD and actually play them without having to use space on my SSD to download/play them? How would i even use steam on my ssd to find the game on hdd, do you know how to do this from experience? If, so that's a very nice perk to steam, NICE! I'm glad i went that route to buy games.

Also, the system reserved drive does have a letter, it is E. Is that bad, should i just leave it alone?

Thanks for the help, really appreciated.
