So I had bought a custom gaming pc, that I found at a yard sale in the outskirts of the city where I live. Everything works wonderful except the sound for the headphones.
First, you should find out what you have. Second, what are you plugging your headphones into? Do speakers work? It may be as simple as getting the right drivers, or just switching to the correct audio out device in Windows.
I'm plugging my headphones into the front jack. The speakers work just fine.
I noticed the HD Audio connector in the motherboard is disconnected and the AC97 connector is into the motherboard, I'm not quite sure if that's the issue.
AMD Driver Date is: 7/10/19
Realtek Driver Date is: 5/14/19
If the speakers work plugged into the back, and the headphones don't work plugged into the front, either the front IO isn't plugged in, or you have to change the active jack to the front using the Realtek software, or both.
