There don’t seem to be drivers for windows 7 on ECS website.

Try to run Windows update from StartMenu>All Programs
Click on Check for updates on the top left. Once the checking is finished, click on Optional updates are available. Can you see C-Media on the list? If yes, tick it and Click Ok. Once installed, restart your system. If C-Media was not on the list, then do as follows.

Download the xp drivers from here
Once downloaded, right click on the setup.exe file and select Troubleshoot compatibility.

Then click on Try Recommended settings. Then click on Start the program . Follow screen instructions.

Also update the bios, the latest one seem to have lots of fixes. (check your existing bios version, just in case you have the latest)

Make sure onboard sound is enabled in the bios.
Install the driver.
Check device manager.
Check the control panel sound settings.
Check volume settings. Make sure nothing is muted.
Check that the speakers are working and properly plugged in.
Check your application volume settings.
