No sound output from GPU HDMI port

I have a ZOTAC GT 730 2GB DDR5 card. I am trying to get the audio working on my HDTV. I have already tried updating the nvidia drivers. The nvidia sound driver is visible under the sound tab in device manager but in playback devices I can't see my HDTV to select as default audio device. I've also tried setting up digital audio through nvidia control panel. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Windows ? You also need to go to Control Panel > Sound and set HDMI as default.

There is no option for doing that.
That's why I went to reinstalling drivers.

If you want to reinstall drivers, you may need to uninstall them completely using DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html from safe mode.

I did that but in vain.
I still don't see my HDMI in sound tab of control panel.
I do see the nvidia sound driver as I earlier stated in device manager.
I've used the digital sound section in the nvidia control centre as well. But even then I don't see it in the control panel->sound tab...
