No sound with HDMI.... Please help

So I have a 26" Dynex TV with a HDMI plugged into my video card. At the end of the HDMI there is a DVI adapter because my graphics card doesn't have an HDMI port. I would not think this would stop the sound transfer through the HDMI cable, but would this be why in playback devices HDMI Output isn't showing up? In fact the only thing showing up is my headset.

This actually stops the sound transfer. DVI port cannot transfer sound, sorry, you need hdmi to hdmi for sound.

Well damn... My computer barely has any capable graphics cards.
