[SOLVED] no sound

I got a new Alienware gaming monitor with speakers.

I want sound:

• to be off coming from the monitor
• on on the Logitech 2.1 speakers
• on on the usb headset when I plug them in and off when they are unplugged

Right now:

• sound is off on the monitor (like I want it to be)
• off on the Logitech 2.1 speakers (when I plug in the USB Headset)
• on on the usb headset when I plug it in (like I want it to be)

The only thing that is not working are the Logitech 2.1 speakers

Please help.

Have you gone to "Control Panel > Sound > Playback" and selected Speakers as your default playback device?
Are you certain your speakers are plugged into the correct audio output jack?

You can also find audio settings in "PC Settings > System > Sound > Output > Choose your output device".
