Hi!

I just installed a case and I noticed that my PC is not playing start up nor shutdown sound although it plays sound when I play music through media player or in youtube. I went to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Sounds Tab, it doesn't play any sound when pressing Test. In task bar, the volume icon doesn't play any sound when changing the volume. I think I didn't missed any connection in motherboard since the only thing I haven't connected yet was the front USB because my motherboard is not compatible with USB 3.0.

Since you have sound you haven't missed any connections on you motherboard. Check if they system sounds are activated or if the system volume on the volume mixer is muted. Also check on the device manager how many sound cards are shown and go from there.

On my device manager, I got many sound cards shown.

The volume control seems working fine when I play music. Volume goes load and quiet as I drag it up and down. But when I stop playing music and drag it up and down, I don't hear any sound from it.

Could it be this? I don't see anything connected from it. The case doesn't have any available 4 pin to connect here nor the old case.

The 4 pin located at the front panel is not for audio, it is use for beep codes, check if there are buzzers found in your mobo, if you can't find you need to connect a buzzers of it, be sure to connect the buzzers wires of positive and negative orientations of the speaker pins. The audio pins for front panel is near the PCI slots left side of the audio jack port. Connect the audio cable wires of the front panel audio jack port of your casing.

There is no buzzer connected to it since before and I haven't experienced this issue ever since. The front panel audio is already connected to the PCI slots behind the jack port.
