PC build:
Mobo: Gigabyte H110m-a
CPU: intel core i3-6100
GPU: RX470
RAM: ballistix sport Lt 2400MHz
PSU: EVGA 430W
Storage: 1TB hard drive

I built my first PC almost a year ago and I found out that my motherboard does not support XMP profile. Therefore I can't get my RAM to run above 1033MHz (I don't remember the exact speed, but it does not exceed 2000MHz). My RAM is rated for 2400MHz. I use my PC for gaming, school work, and just browsing the Internet. What I really care about is gaming peformance.

Is the fact that my ram is running at a lower speed going to affect my gaming performance?

Does anyone know if there is a BIOS update or something for my motherboard that will allow the ram to run at its rated speed of 2400MHz?

Should I get a new motherboard that will allow my ram to run at its rated speed? If so, what motherboard would you recommend? I plan on upgrading my CPU and GPU in the future (probably by 2020) in order to play at 1080p 144Hz. I don't plan on getting into overclocking any time soon.

Solution
You will need a Z series chipset board to run RAM above the stock 2133MHz that you are currently running at.
You are maybe seeing 1067MHz currently which because of Double Data Rate (DDR) means 2133MHz or the double of what you see.
