i just got a new psu and it is too big for my pc and my pc has no 20 or 24 pin connectors on its motherboard. i have looked at all of the pc psu installation videos i could and i could not find anything about the size of the psu or about the missing 20 or 24 pin connectors. i have lookes at past questions about this and they say that this is because the motherboard is custom made by hp, but the names on the front of my pc are dell and inspiron. my pc is a couples years old and it is a windows ten so i dont know if it is just out dated or if i am just dumb. please help if you have any advice about my situation.

A lot of HP motherboards use a goofy power connector, and while there are adapters available:

that's not going to let you fit a big honking ATX PSU in your case. Better to use something small like a SFX.
