No VGA Signal, Everything was running ok but now isnt

So I've had this build for about 3 weeks, recently I did a motherboard swap and the computer ran fine for a day. Yesterday i was using my computer for about 5-8 hours and left for an hour to do some stuff. I came back and the computer monitor is black, and a vga light was red. I thought it was my motherboard so i swapped it back to my original one. Same problem, same situation. No connection to Monitor and the keyboard and mouse isnt working

UPDATE: the cpu is fine, the ram is fine, when i turn on the system, my gpu detects 2 of my 8 pin connectors, then drops one and the red VGA LED light turns on. I rearranged the psu vga cables to 1&2 instead of 2&4 . same problem

Try switching the vga cable if possible or connecting it to a TV via HDMI and trying that.

And (obviously) make sure that it is connected correctly.

i dont think so, i disassembled everything and put it all back together (evga 650 modular psu gold) when i turn on my computer the fans go on and the LED for the gpu go on aswell, but theres no conneciton

different mobo and chipset. went from 970 to 990x, i then swapped it back to 970 after having the no vga detection. vga still isnt being detected in old mobo, neither does the kb and mouse

all symptoms point to PSU.

so just rma the psu?

test with another PSU first, then RMA it.
