No Video - ASUS A68HM-PLUS + A10-7860K

ASUS A68HM-PLUS + A10-7860K gave no video. I replaced the board with new A68HM-PLUS and still no video.
I put in another chip (AMD A6-7400K) and it came right up so I updated the bios to the latest ( Version 1805 ) and put the A10-7860K back in and still no video.

I am lost. Help. Please?

Maybe a defective CPU? Try RMA-ing it if under warranty.

I was hoping there was some sort of solution i could do without the return hassles. If anyone has any other ideas what I can do i would greatly appreciate it! RMA is last resort, imo. Hopefully I can avoid that.

actually the a10 7860K works in another box on a asus a68hm-E motherboard.
Something going on with this ASUS A68HM-PLUS + A10-7860K combo.

ANyone got any suggestions? Ideas?

turns out ot have been a bad power supply...
