Hey guys, how you doing?

Im writing this message because im desperate.

I have this computer.

Windows 7 ultimate x32
Phenom II x2 550
Asus M4A78T-E
4Gb ddr3 1066 kingston (2x2)
Thermaltake 650 toughpower
And wd3200.

The thing is, that i recently installed a Graphic card. A HD5670 Sapphire with 512mb of memory.

Everything is fine except video isnt coming from the HD5670, instead is coming from the onboard gpu. Ive disabled the onboard grpahics, but it didnt work, also y changed BIOS settings to default, and ive shiwtched the gpu to the other pci x16 slot.

Is there any chance that the gpu isnt working? It has power, because the fan is running ok, but i cannot get any video from it.

Do you have somethin in mind that can actually help me?

Thanks in advance!

First of all, thanks bombastinator!

I did that, but i only get video from the onboard. Also, when i disable the onboard video, ive had to clear the cmos, to go back to the default settings.

Ive updated the bios, but nothing happend...

Is there any chance that the socket, or the pci-e board may have the pins dirty?

problem isolation:
Are your drivers up to date?
Do you have another board to test with? either gpu or motherboard? if it works with another card it;s the card, if it works with another motherboard it's the board.

When i want to install the drivers of the PCI-e card, i got a bsod.

Im looking for a mobo so i can check if my mobo isnt working at all, or that the inconvinient is coming from the pci-e

So, im kinda short of options lol

in the words of adam from mythbusters: "well there's your problem right there" why you got besodded sounds like a fruitful avenue to explore. im not familiar with this particular board, but perhaps others have had this problem in the past. google may know

The thing is, that this pci-e was used in that same pc, until i bought a 6950, and i changed it. The 5670 ive put it in an other mobo, and this mobo i havent turn it on at all. Thats what actually i cannot understand, and i know that the pci-e was working fine the last day ive used it.

Now ive got an other cpu and mobo, but i want to make this pc work at 100%, so i can give as a gift to mi brother.

Have you looked in the Device Manager to see what display adapters are showing? If you see the Intel(R)HD Graphics Family, then right click it and disable. then turn off computer, unplug power, connect your graphics card, power on pc and see if you get video.
