I have recently built a new computer and when I connected all my parts to the motherboard which is a Asus Z87-Pro IV. When connecting everything and turning it on, there was a burning smell and a little bit of smoke. I quickly turned it off, waited an hour and turned it on again. There was no more burning, but my pc will now be on for 5 minutes or so, turn off, then reboot and be on all day. There also is no video input on my tv after trying an hdmi chord plugged into my motherboard, the I tried it on my video card. Then I used a DVI-HDMI chord and tried to plug it into my motherboard first, then into my video card. Both didn't work. I don't know what to do!

Solution
Then CPU does not work. Taking into account the burning smell, I suggest RMA-ing both motherboard and CPU. And maybe it would be good to RMA the power supply too.

No all the lights on the inside are green, accept the power button on the motherboard. But theres also led lights that show 2 zeros right beside it. I'm thinking that I got the wrong chord for it. Would a DVI-D chord work for it or do I need to grab a DVI-I chord?
