A few days ago my sytem was working fine, but when i booted it the next morning the screen got stuck and i tried to reboot the system (this happened befor sometimesand a reboot worked everytime) but when i rebooted the system for the third time i got no video input at all. Everythnig seems to be working, all fans are spinning and LED's are on. I tried to replace some components and concluded it was probably my motherboard. I later attched a buzzer on the mobo which keeps repeating 3 beeps.

This is what i tried so far:

  • 1 stick of RAM on each DIMM slot.
Tried useing other: RAM, PSU, GPU, monitor with other cable
booting the system without HDD and SSD
booting the system just with: CPU, GPU, PSU and mobo
    resetting BIOS with Jbat 1,
taking out the CMOS for 5 min.

Are there other ways to repair the system and how could i know it is not the CPU?

System specs:

  • WIndows 10, 64 bit
    CPU: FX 8320
    RAM: 8 GB hyper x
GPU: MSI OC GTX 650 TI BOOST
    MOBO: MSI 970 GAMING
    PSU: XFX 550W
    HDD: 1TB Seagate
SSD: 120 GB kingston --> windows on SSD

Best Regards,

Foppe Crezee

I first tried the HDMI cable on two different monitors, but later I tried an DVI cable with no results. So i don't think it is the cable, but thanks for the reply XD
