No video loading Windows 7 upgrade disc

Hello, I've got one I can't figure out. I'm trying to load Windows 7 home Premium. I have the family pack which comes with both a 32 and a 64 bit disk. When I try to load ether disk on to a Gateway GT5238e, I see no video, just a blank black screen that slowly goes white from the edges. This happens on two 5238e PCs. The disks do load on an Acer laptop. Both 5238 PCs are running XP fine and I have had no cd/dvd issues with the drive. I should mention that when I try to run the disk from XP I get a message thatI can not upgrade to 7 from XP and must do a clean install, that is why I am trying to boot from the CD. Any help will be much appreciated. The Gateways have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 and I am using the on board graphics of the Intel DG965LV mainboard. 4g memory on one 3 on the other

Hello... maybe you need to run the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor... to see if they see a problem... http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor ... could be the on-board graphics.
