Hello
I am building a computer consisting in:
Gigabyte F2A88XM-DH3 Rev 3.1
AMD Athlon X4 860K
GSkill 1600 DDR3 RAM
MSI Gefore 520GT PCI-E
I have setup all the components inside and outside the box but I can get it to work. When I turn on the computer the fans spin, but thats all it does. No image and no beeps from the internal speaker that is installed.
I have tried every component, except the motherboard and the processor, in another computer and they all work fine.
The setups I have tried are:
- Power Supply + Motherboard + Processor + RAM + Graphic card.
- Power Supply + Motherboard + Processor + RAM.
- Power Supply + Motherboard + Processor.
- Power Supply + Motherboard.
I have tried such minimalist builds in order to get beeps from the speaker, but nothing.
Tried resetting CMOS (through battery removal and pins) and nothing.
I looked through the net and the thing is that people have the same symptoms when they have an outdated BIOS that does not support the processor, but isn't the rev 3.1 supposed to work with my processor out of the box?
Also, the store who sold me the motherboard said they updated the BIOS to F8 before sending it to me.
By the way, they also sent a replacement motherboard (rev 3.0 with theoretically updated BIOS) to test, but nothing changed. Same symptoms.
Although it is in mint state and the person who sold it to me says it was ok when he took it out of it's computer, I think that the processor may be broken, but shouldn't the motherboard beep when it finds a broken processor or no processor at all? (remember I tried with no CPU).
I am a bit lost and I don't know whether ask for an RMA of the CPU, since I cannot try it in other system or try another CPU in my Gigabyte motherboard.
What do you think?
Here is a pair of videos of the problem with minimalist setups (looking for beeps):

P.S: I have tried feeding the EPS +12v CPU socket both with 4 pin and 8 pin mode. No effect at all.
Thank you.
