[SOLVED] No video on Cv1...but there is sound.

I just bought a oculus cv1 and I plugged it in ready to try it.. annnnnd there is no video. I get sound and on the monitor it’s working just no video in the headset itself. Aside from that everything works. I have tried reseating it 30 different times. I did re-install the GPU driver. I did do the drivers for the headset itself. At this point. I’m not sure what to do.

What GPU do you have?

Do you have the Oculus Software installed? https://www.oculus.com/setup/

I'm assuming you bought this used? It could very well be a bad cable, and those are quite hard to find now.

Try a different USB and HDMi port for the headset.

I doubt it’s the cable. Considering how many people have this issue. But I have a gtx 1080 and I only have one HDMI so. That’s the one it’s got.

i had a cv1 a while ago.
this had happened to me before. usually i will just restart osvr service and its all good.

if that doesnt work uninstall oculus software and all its drivers.
make sure windows is updated
reinstall gpu's latest driver, then install oculus software.

also try to wiggle the cable on the HMD it could be loose.
