Question No Video Output From GPU in a prebuilt

Working on upgrading my buddy's prebuilt PC, (Acer Aspire TC-220: AMD A10-7800, 8GB DDR3 RAM). Had no graphics card previously so he got a 960 4gb card, went to install it and power supply did not have the right connectors so upgraded the power supply to a coolmax 500W (does not have 6 pin connector so using the supplied 2x molex to 6 pin). Have everything connected properly and am getting no video signal at all out of the card. When the card is installed there is no signal from the card or the mobo output.
Things i've done

• Re-seating the card
• CMOS clear
• Disabling secure boot
• Uninstalling amd igpu drivers through windows and DDU
• Updating bios
• Confirmed card works in my own PC
• Letting it sit for multiple hours
• Different cables (hdmi, vga etc)

Not sure what else to try at this point. Any help is appreciated

return the psu, get one with 6/8 pin power
